Machine Readable Passports have replaced manual passport system throughout Pakistan. 10 Foreign Missions including the Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai have also been equipped with this facility.

Eligibility:
Ordinary/ Urgent Machine Readable passport is issued to all citizens of Pakistan subject to the fulfillment of the requirements listed below: -

Machine Readable Passport (MRP) process requires the applicant's presence with following documents and photocopies.
Fee:
Fee for all types of passports are deposited with United Bank Limited (UBL) Branch situated with in the premises of Consulate General of Pakistan Dubai. The fee structure is as under:
Passport Delivery Timings: 08:00am to 1:00pm
Loss of Passport:
No passport application against lost passport will be entertained unless it is accompanied by a police report. Double and quadruple fee will be charge for first and second lost passport respectively.
Fresh Passport in lieu of lost passport will only be issued on receipt of conformation of particulars of lost passport, from the station where it was issued.
In case of third time loss of passport Pakistan Mission abroad will issue emergency certificate (OUTPASS) to the applicant for travel to Pakistan only, under intimation to the Directorate General Immigration & Passports Headquarters, Islamabad.
