Consulate General of Pakistan Dubai, U.A.E.

The Community Welfare wing of the Consulate General of Pakistan is responsible for the welfare of the Pakistani Community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

LABOUR SERVICES

Settlement of disputed cases of workforce with employers through local departments.
Attestations of individual visas for direct employment.
Attestation of Power of Attorney and demand letters for group employment visas.
Welfare and legal protection of Pakistani prisoners through Courts and Rulers office.
Handling of the disputed cases with prosecution, Immigration, Labor Departments and Courts through Legal Councils.
Cancellation of expired visas of overseas Pakistanis who had left the country. Passports of such cases are received through Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad and handed over to the RPO's of the concerned companies for cancellation of visas.
Resolving outstanding dues of overseas Pakistanis with the relevant UAE companies/departments.

COMMUNITY WELFARE SERVICES

Financial assistance to the destitute from the Community Welfare Fund.
Welfare of destitute patients in hospitals.
Processing and obtaining Overseas Pakistani Foundation's Membership cards for the Pakistani expatriates.

Facilitate blood money cases.

Foreign Exchange Remittance Card (FERC) Scheme of OPF

As soon as the remitter achieves the remittance target (US$ 2500 to US$ 50000) in the stipulated period he may fill in the attached application proforma and submit it to the OPF head office in Pakistan or the Pakistani Missions abroad, along with the Remittance Book duly filled in/ verified by the concerned Bank etc.

DISPATCH OF DEAD BODIES

The following documents are required for Dispatch of Dead Bodies:

Passport of deceased (Original + Photocopy)
Death Certificate (Original + Photocopy)
Police Clearance (Original + Photocopy)
Embassy or Consulate's Certificate (Original + Photocopy)
Embalming Certificate (Original + Photocopy)

Documents to be produced by relatives/ friends of deceased in the UAE.

Please Note:

Dead body should be delivered at the Cargo Section minimum 4 hours prior to departure of flight.
All Arabic certificates to be translated in English.
Unaccompanied coffins required an advance confirmation from destination.
Accompanying passenger should hold a confirmed ticket.
